Laynnea J. Myles Recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for Excellence in Environmental Health and Safety

Ms. Myles has found success as an EHS Assistant Vice President for L’Oréal

FRANKLIN PARK, NJ, November 1, 2021, Laynnea J. Myles has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Laynnea Myles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Occupational Safety and Health from Iowa State University in 2004. She continued her education with earning a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University in 2009. She also achieved the highly distinguished designation, in her field, as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Laynnea Myles subsequently gained valuable professional experience with L’Oréal as a Senior Safety, Health and Environmental Specialist as well as a Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Manager from 2004 to 2014.

With 3M, Laynnea Myles worked as an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer from 2014 to 2017. In this position, she planned, implemented and coordinated safety programs to prevent and/or correct hazardous working conditions. Laynnea Myles further excelled as a Senior Safety Manager with Luxottica, a premium, luxury and sports eyewear manufacturer, from 2017 to 2018.

In 2018, Laynnea Myles returned to L’Oréal as EHS Director. In 2021, she was appointed as an Assistant Vice President in EHS, implementing safe and environmentally compliant practices and procedures. She was selected by the National Safety Council as a 2020 Rising Stars of Safety, a prestigious honor presented to an honoree who demonstrates superb work results, leadership, technical prowess, and employee engagement. The award featuring Laynnea Myles was published in the October 2020 issue of Safety and Health Magazine distributed to subscribers worldwide. To Laynnea Myles’ credit, she consecutively received the Woman In Safety Excellence (WISE) award for mentoring. WISE is a Common Interest Group of the American Society of Safety Professionals.

Laynnea Myles is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Blacks In Safety Excellence (BISE), Women in Safety Excellence, and, the National Safety Council. Laynnea Myles is active in each of the organizations, and she has held volunteer positions within various organizations professionally and personally within the community to make a positive difference.

Laynnea Myles contributes her success to having a significant attribute of adaptability. In her field of Environmental, Health, and Safety, she articulates that things are always changing, thus, being able to adapt is a skill she possesses and masters. Her outlook for the future is to continually grow in her profession and within the community while building a network that promotes mentorship. Her commitment has proven her to be an outstanding business partner which allows her to navigate through simple and complex circumstance requiring strategic problem solving.
